India’s Women Hockey Team Scripts History with Massive World Cup Win

The Indian women’s hockey team registered a historic 6-1 victory over South Africa in their second Pool D match at the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup. The result marked India’s biggest-ever win in the history of the Women’s Hockey World Cup.

Sunelita Toppo opened the scoring in the 11th minute, followed by goals from Navneet Kaur and Sushila Chanu. Deepika, Lalremsiami and Sakshi Rana then added one goal each as India dominated the match. South Africa managed to score once, but India maintained complete control to seal a memorable victory.
