KTR Condemns Removal of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy Statue

BRS Working President KTR strongly condemned the removal of the statue of late former MLA and Telangana movement activist Peddi Sudarshan Reddy in Narsampet. He alleged that the statue was removed during the night and accused the state government of using the police to suppress political dissent.

KTR also criticised the arrests and house detentions of BRS leaders and workers across the erstwhile Warangal district following protests over the statue’s removal. He demanded the unconditional release of all those arrested and warned that the party would not tolerate what he described as illegal cases against its leaders and workers. KTR also urged the government not to cause further distress to Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s family.
