Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh said the coalition government is committed to promoting the state’s film industry along with artists and creative talent. He made the remarks while attending the Vendi Thera and OTT Awards 2025-26 event organised by VB Entertainments at the A Plus Convention Centre in Vijayawada.
The minister said Vijayawada has traditionally been a favourable destination for cultural and film-related activities. He highlighted the state’s scenic locations and said films shooting in Andhra Pradesh are being provided permissions quickly through a single-window system. He also encouraged producers to establish dubbing, recording and re-recording facilities in the state. Durgesh said the government is ready to consider land allocations for those coming forward to develop film-related infrastructure and expressed his desire to see more film events and award ceremonies held regularly in Vijayawada.
