DPL Fixing Row: Vansh Bedi Reports Suspected Corrupt Approach to Anti-Corruption Unit

Young wicketkeeper-batter Vansh Bedi has reportedly informed the Delhi Premier League’s Anti-Corruption Unit after being approached in connection with a suspected corrupt or fixing-related matter during the recently concluded DPL season. Bedi, who represented Central Delhi Kings in the tournament and was part of the Chennai Super Kings setup in IPL 2025, promptly reported the approach. The Delhi and District Cricket Association subsequently communicated the matter to the BCCI and sought guidance on the next steps. DDCA officials have said the claims require appropriate examination and that no conclusion should be drawn without an investigation.

The development comes amid controversy surrounding a recent Tehelka sting operation involving former Nagaland Ranji player Rachit Bhatia. In the sting, Bhatia claimed that he had fixed five IPL matches in 2025 and passed information related to CSK’s playing XI to bookmakers. These are allegations made during the sting and have not been established as facts through an official investigation. Bedi’s name subsequently surfaced in online speculation, but he has categorically denied being the unnamed player referred to in the sting and said he has no involvement in any such activity.
