Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government was committed to transforming Kodangal into a major education and industrial hub and developing it as a model for the country. Speaking at the Kodangal Industrial Expo, after visiting stalls showcasing products and technologies from the aerospace, defence, green technology, renewable energy, steel, copper, textile and agro-based sectors, he interacted with progressive farmers and agricultural scientists. Revanth Reddy criticised the previous BRS government, alleging that despite K. Chandrashekar Rao serving as Chief Minister for ten years, key irrigation projects in the erstwhile Palamuru region remained incomplete. He also accused the previous government of mishandling the Kaleshwaram project and challenged BRS leaders to participate in a two-day Assembly discussion on El Niño, Kaleshwaram and Godavari waters in December. He said irrigation and drinking water facilities, roads, railway connectivity and industrial development had been neglected in Kodangal.
The Chief Minister said the Congress government had accelerated work on the Makthal–Narayanpet lift irrigation project and was providing better compensation to farmers whose lands were acquired. He announced plans to take up additional development works worth ₹10,000 crore and develop the RARE Education Hub and RARE Industrial Park. He also said efforts would be made to promote exports of Tandur red gram to international markets and create employment opportunities through industrial growth. Cautioning farmers about the possibility of an El Niño-related drought, Revanth Reddy advised them to choose short-duration crops and assured them of the government's support. He said he would visit villages across the region after Sankranti as part of the Praja Balam programme and called on people to work together to overcome the possible drought.
