BCCI Announces India’s Squad for Sri Lanka Test Series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Shubman Gill will lead the side, while KL Rahul has been named vice-captain. Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has returned to the Test squad, adding valuable experience to the team. The squad also includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, Devdutt Padikkal, Manav Suthar, and Saransh Jain.

The selection of Sai Sudharsan and Jasprit Bumrah is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI Centre of Excellence. Washington Sundar will not be available for selection for the first Test. Ahead of the series, India will play a four-day practice match in Colombo from August 7. The first Test will begin in Galle on August 15, while the second Test is scheduled to start in Colombo on August 23.
