Anahat Singh Reaches World Junior Squash Semifinals

Indian squash player Anahat Singh has continued her impressive run at the World Junior Squash Championships by securing a place in the women’s singles semifinals. The 19-year-old from Delhi defeated Egypt’s Habiba Rizk in the quarterfinal match with a 3-1 victory. Anahat dominated the opening games, winning 11-7 and 11-5 before her opponent fought back in the third game.

The young Indian athlete showed strong determination in the deciding moments and closed the match with an 11-9 win in the fourth game. After winning a bronze medal in the previous edition of the tournament, Anahat is now focused on stepping up her performance and changing the colour of her medal this time.
