India’s young batter Abhishek Sharma has climbed to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings. His strong performances in the ongoing series against Afghanistan helped him move ahead of Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan. Ishan Kishan retained the top spot, giving India the top two positions in the T20I batting rankings.
Abhishek scored 82 off 32 balls in the first T20I against Afghanistan and followed it up with 39 off 19 balls in the second match. Sanju Samson also moved up four places to 30th after his half-century in the second T20I. In the bowling rankings, Varun Chakravarthy rose to fifth, while Jasprit Bumrah entered the top 10 at 10th and Arshdeep Singh moved up to 14th.
