Set in the mythical Trilinga kingdom, King Vijendra Vrushabha safeguards the sacred Atma Linga. When enemies attempt to seize it, a fierce battle ensues. During the chaos, the king accidentally kills a child, whose grieving mother curses him. The curse follows Vijendra into his next birth, shaping the rest of the narrative around fate, redemption, and rebirth.
• The core idea of reincarnation has emotional potential
• Mohanlal’s screen presence in a few intense moments
• A sword-fight sequence in the second half is fairly staged
• Weak writing and disjointed screenplay
• Boring narration despite short runtime
• Poorly executed visual effects and flat dialogues
• Unnecessary romantic track adds no value
• Supporting characters lack depth and impact
Though the film demands strong technical finesse, it falls short. Visual effects look unconvincing, and background score fails to elevate key moments. Cinematography and music are average at best. Direction lacks clarity and grip, resulting in an unengaging cinematic experience.
Vrushabha struggles to translate its promising concept into an engaging film. With weak storytelling and uninspired execution, even Mohanlal’s presence cannot salvage this routine fantasy drama. It is best skipped, especially during the festive season.
Rating: 1.75 / 5
