'Dhandha' Review: Can You Finish an Entire Crime Thriller in Just 64 Minutes?

Release Date: Streaming Now on Chai Shots

Cast: Dora Sai Teja and Ensemble Cast

Director: Aditya Devulapalli

Producers: Chai Shots Originals

Music Director: Rishi M

Cinematographer: Ashwin Lenin

Story:

Dhandha is a gripping 64-minute crime thriller presented in bite-sized episodes of around two and a half minutes each. The series follows the ruthless journey of an ambitious anti-hero who is willing to cross every moral boundary in pursuit of success. Packed with unexpected twists, raw emotions, and edge-of-the-seat suspense, the narrative keeps viewers completely hooked from start to finish.

Plus Points:

The biggest strength of Dhandha is Dora Sai Teja's exceptional performance. He completely owns the anti-hero role with remarkable intensity and screen presence. Director Aditya Devulapalli makes a confident debut with a gripping screenplay and stylish execution that keeps the audience engaged throughout. The crisp narration, unexpected twists, and powerful dialogues make the series highly binge-worthy. Rishi M's electrifying background score perfectly complements the crime drama, while Ashwin Lenin's realistic cinematography adds depth and authenticity. The innovative micro-episode format is refreshing and ensures there isn't a dull moment in the entire 64-minute runtime.

Minus Points:

A handful of supporting characters could have been explored a little more, and a couple of emotional moments feel slightly brief due to the short runtime. However, these are minor issues that do not take away from the overall impact of the series.

Technical Department:

Director Aditya Devulapalli showcases remarkable confidence and clarity in his debut venture. His narration reflects maturity, while the screenplay maintains momentum throughout the runtime. Rishi M's electrifying background score complements the crime drama perfectly, and Ashwin Lenin's visuals provide a stylish yet realistic atmosphere. The production values are impressive for a micro-series and contribute significantly to the immersive experience.

Verdict:

Dhandha is far more than just another digital series—it's a refreshing milestone in Telugu micro-content storytelling. With outstanding performances, gripping narration, and high technical quality, this 64-minute crime thriller is an engaging binge-watch that shouldn't be missed.
