

Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan will visit Hyderabad on September 17 to attend the Telangana Liberation Day programme organised by the Central Government. Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju reviewed the arrangements for the Vice-President’s visit with senior officials and police officers at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday. The Vice-President is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad at 8:30 AM and attend the programme at Secunderabad Parade Grounds from 9:30 AM to 12 noon.
The event is being organised under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Culture, with various government departments making elaborate arrangements. Officials have been instructed to ensure proper security, traffic management, medical facilities and other necessary arrangements for the programme. GAD Special Chief Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, Roads and Buildings Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, DGP C.V. Anand, Health Secretary Christina Chongthu, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner Sumathi and Information Department Special Commissioner Mukund Reddy were among those who attended the review meeting.
