Telangana disqualified MLAs’ hearings conclude

The disqualification case of MLAs in the state has reached its final stage. Today , Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad is scheduled to question MLA Danam Nagender. Earlier, Nagender’s hearing was supposed to take place, but it was postponed multiple times due to various reasons. The hearing is now set for 2:30 PM. Meanwhile, the hearing of MLA Kadiyam Srihari has already been completed, and the verdict has been reserved.

Last month, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the disqualification case of BRS party MLAs in Telangana and warned that coercive measures would be taken if a decision was not reached within three weeks. In this context, Speaker Gaddam Prasad has been given another opportunity. The court has directed the Speaker to complete the hearings on the disqualification petitions and submit the report to the court. With Danam Nagender’s hearing today, the disqualification hearings of the remaining MLAs will conclude.
