Suriya Reveals Nazriya Rejected His Film Offers Three Times Before Agreeing to ‘Scene’

Actor Suriya, who plays the lead in Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, shared some interesting details at the film’s pre-release event. The film stars Nazriya Nazim as the female lead and is scheduled to hit theatres on November 6. Speaking at the event, Suriya revealed that he had approached Nazriya for three of his earlier films, but she turned down all three offers for various reasons. She finally agreed to work with him on his fourth attempt.

Suriya praised Nazriya for being confident about her choices and selecting projects based on the stories she likes. He said she never considered turning down those opportunities a loss. Nazriya, meanwhile, revealed that Suriya was the main reason behind her return to Tamil cinema after 12 years. She said she had earlier declined opportunities to work with him once or twice due to different reasons, but was delighted to share screen space with him in Scene.
