US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has reassured European allies that the relationship between the United States and Europe remains strong and enduring. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, he stated that America’s roots are deeply connected with Europe.
Rubio emphasized that the US will continue to maintain close ties with European nations and that the partnership remains a long-standing commitment. He assured allies that the transatlantic bond will not be abandoned.
At the same time, he noted that the United States seeks to redefine certain aspects of its relationship with the Atlantic alliance in light of evolving global dynamics.
His remarks come at a time when US President Donald Trump has made strong statements regarding NATO member countries over the past year, giving added significance to Rubio’s address.
