Tensions continue to escalate in West Asia as intense strikes are reported between the United States, Israel, and Iran. In a significant development, the US Senate has extended support to the military action initiated by President Donald Trump. The move comes amid growing geopolitical strain in the region.
A resolution introduced by Democratic Senator Tim Kaine seeking to limit the president’s authority to continue military operations against Iran failed to pass in the Senate. The vote ended 53–47 in favor of backing the president’s actions. Republican Senator Rand Paul supported the move, while Democratic Senator John Fetterman opposed it, effectively affirming Senate support for the ongoing military operations.
