The Parliament of India has been adjourned indefinitely after a brief session that saw significant developments. The Central Government introduced three key bills, including the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, which was defeated in voting. The bill received 298 votes in favor and 230 against, failing to secure the required majority.
Following the setback, the Centre withdrew the Delimitation Bill and the Union Territories Amendment Bill. The session concluded on the third day without any substantial discussion in both Houses, marking an abrupt end to the proceedings and highlighting political differences over crucial legislative matters.
