The Lok Sabha witnessed heated scenes on Wednesday as Opposition Members of Parliament staged protests during Question Hour. As the Panel Speaker continued with the proceedings, Opposition MPs entered the Well of the House, demanding discussions on the alleged theft of donations at Ayodhya and the reported lathi-charge on students. Their protests led to repeated disruptions during the session.
Despite the commotion, the Lok Sabha passed the Bankers' Books Evidence Bill. The government proceeded with legislative business amid the protests before the House was adjourned for the day. Parliamentary proceedings have now been scheduled to resume on Thursday.
