The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has welcomed a new member from the Congress in Hyderabad. Avuku Damodar Reddy, president of the Congress party in the Serilingampally constituency’s Hafeezpet-Hyder Nagar division, joined the BRS along with his supporters in the presence of party working president K T Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan. Addressing the gathering, KTR launched a strong attack on the Congress government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil its election promises. He accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of mishandling land-related issues and criticised the government’s decisions concerning HYDRAA and the HILT policy.
KTR also described Revanth Reddy as an “EMI Chief Minister”, alleging that his frequent visits to Delhi were driven by political interests rather than the needs of Telangana. He claimed that both the Congress and the BJP were controlled by their leadership in Delhi and questioned what the Centre had delivered to the state. Taking aim at Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and BJP state president Ramchander Rao, KTR questioned their conduct before senior national leaders. He also raised allegations concerning Miyapur land, Housing Board and Waqf properties, and warned industrialists against investing in lands under the HILT policy. Expressing confidence in BRS’s political comeback, he predicted that K Chandrashekar Rao would become Chief Minister again within a year.
