Tensions in West Asia have intensified as Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, stated that recent military strikes have caused significant damage to Iran. He claimed that Iran no longer possesses the capability to enrich uranium or manufacture ballistic missiles. Speaking to international media, Netanyahu also dismissed rumors about his death with a light remark, confirming that he is alive. He further added that there is uncertainty over Iran’s current leadership, pointing to internal divisions among its political and military ranks. Netanyahu expressed confidence that Israel and the United States would emerge victorious if the conflict continues.
Highlighting the objectives of the operation, Netanyahu said the mission aims to eliminate the nuclear threat from Iran, weaken its military strength, and ensure freedom for its people. He noted that key missile stockpiles and production facilities have been severely hit. Referring to the attack on the South Pars gas field, he clarified that Israel carried it out independently and acknowledged that Donald Trump had advised against further strikes, a request Israel intends to respect. Netanyahu rejected allegations that Israel is dragging the United States into the conflict, emphasizing that American decisions are based on its own interests. He also warned about Iran’s potential move to disrupt global oil supply by targeting the Strait of Hormuz, but asserted that such attempts would not succeed.
