Senior BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) reacted strongly to the controversy surrounding the Pilot Rohith Reddy drug case, stating that drugs turn human beings into monsters and that it is unfortunate when individuals in responsible positions resort to such illegal activities. KTR emphasized that he personally maintains a strict stance against drugs and the use of any illicit substances. He reiterated that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly condemns drug consumption and illegal activities, and anyone involved in using or trafficking drugs should face strict punishment under the law, regardless of their political affiliation.
At the same time, KTR criticized attempts to link the BRS party to the incident, calling it an example of “disgusting politics.” He clarified that dragging the party into the issue for political gains is unacceptable. KTR also said he is ready to undergo any test to prove his integrity and welcomed the suggestion by Mahesh Kumar Goud that public representatives from all political parties should take such tests to set an example. He further warned that repeatedly linking his name to any drug-related case would invite legal action through notices.
