K. T. Rama Rao has held the Central Government responsible for the ongoing NEET UG-2026 controversy, including allegations of paper leaks and examination irregularities. Interacting with NEET aspirants and long-term students in Hyderabad before his official visit to Malaysia, KTR said the crisis reflected a complete failure of the examination system. He demanded accountability from the authorities and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strong action against those responsible. KTR also stressed that students who worked hard for their results should not be made to suffer because of administrative lapses.
During the interaction, several students expressed frustration over repeated examination issues, claiming that paper leaks and irregularities had undermined merit and fairness. Responding to their concerns, KTR assured them that the issue would be raised forcefully in Parliament and other legislative forums. He criticized the handling of grace marks and examination management, calling for stricter regulations and technology-driven safeguards to prevent future leaks. KTR also encouraged students to remain focused, avoid losing confidence, and seek emotional support from family members and teachers during difficult times.
