Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated that she is consulting her legal team after receiving a notice from the Central Bureau of Investigation regarding a petition filed in the Delhi High Court in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. According to Kavitha, the notice was served at around 12:30 pm informing her about the hearing scheduled for March 16. She clarified that serving such a notice when an investigating agency approaches a higher court is a routine legal procedure and should not be misinterpreted.
Kavitha further pointed out that the Rouse Avenue Court had earlier dismissed the case and even declined to frame charges in the Delhi excise policy matter. The court had also reportedly made remarks seeking an inquiry into the investigating officer. She said the CBI has now approached the Delhi High Court challenging that verdict. Kavitha reiterated that she has full faith in the legal system and will cooperate completely with the authorities, expressing confidence that the truth will prevail.
