The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has expressed concern that the proposed Congress rally could disrupt business activities and potentially cause losses of up to ₹12,000 crore. With the rally scheduled around the Diwali festive season, traders fear that restrictions, traffic congestion and disruptions could affect commercial activities during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.
In this regard, CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal has written a letter to Sonia Gandhi, requesting that the rally be postponed to November 10 or 11, or rescheduled for a later date. He also suggested shifting the venue to Burari Ground if postponement is not possible. The CTI urged the organisers to consider the interests of traders and ensure that business activities are not affected during the festive season.
