Kavitha Demands Cancellation of GO 317

Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded the immediate cancellation of GO 317 and requested that employees be given postings in their native districts. She wrote an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, stating that thousands of employees and teachers have been facing serious difficulties due to the government order issued in 2021. She urged the government to provide a one-time relief by transferring affected employees back to their hometowns.

Kavitha also reminded that the Congress party had promised to review GO 317 and deliver justice to the affected individuals during the elections. She noted that several current ministers had earlier supported the demand. Highlighting the mental stress faced by employees, she appealed for reforms in local eligibility rules and requested that postings be allocated based on native districts.
