The political debate over industrial investments in Andhra Pradesh intensified as IT Minister Nara Lokesh countered YSRCP’s claims regarding previously signed MoUs. While the current NDA government has been actively bringing major investments into the state, YSRCP leaders have attempted to take credit by stating that many companies had already entered agreements during their tenure. Responding to this, Lokesh challenged YSRCP to present valid MoUs and assured that due credit would be given if genuine work was done.
Taking the initiative further, Lokesh revealed that the current government has begun reaching out to companies that had earlier entered agreements under the YSRCP administration, emphasizing that governance must prioritize continuity. He stated that political parties may change, but commitments made to industries must be honored to build investor confidence. His proactive approach, analysts say, is in stark contrast to the previous government’s lack of seriousness toward investments and youth-oriented development.
