The United States could launch fresh military strikes against Iran this weekend, according to remarks by President Donald Trump. Speaking at a rally in Florida as part of the midterm election campaign, Trump indicated that Washington could resort to military action if no agreement is reached with Tehran. He warned that another limited-scale operation similar to “Epic Fury” could take place in West Asia.
Tom Barrack, the US ambassador to Türkiye, recently suggested in a podcast that strikes against Iran could occur this weekend. Trump initially dismissed the remarks, saying he was unaware of any such plans. However, his latest comments hinting at possible military action have heightened uncertainty over the situation in West Asia and raised concerns about renewed regional tensions.
