Iran Embassy Uses Balakrishna’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ Scene to Respond to Trump’s Iran Remark

Tensions between the United States and Iran continue to remain high. Amid the exchange of remarks by the two countries’ leaders at the United Nations in New York, the Iranian Embassy in Zimbabwe shared a 58-second action clip from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari on X. The post came after US President Donald Trump spoke about the possibility of “annihilating” Iran if an agreement could not be reached.

Along with the clip, the embassy said that Trump talks about annihilating Iran but knows that the country is “not defenceless”, adding a sarcastic reference to watching Indian cinema instead of Hollywood. The scene shows Balakrishna’s character facing an armed group. Interestingly, the embassy referred to it as a Bollywood film, although Bhagavanth Kesari is actually a Telugu film. The post has since attracted widespread attention online.
