BJP Legislature Party leader Eleti Maheshwar Reddy stated that the Congress party has slipped to the third position in the current political scenario, citing a report by Sunil Kanugolu. He said the party can retain even the third position only with minority support, otherwise it may struggle to stay in the race. According to the survey on governance, all sections of society are distancing themselves from Congress. The report also highlighted that BJP has gained strength across all united districts, while Congress is lagging even in the Chief Minister’s home district, Palamuru. If elections were held now, winning even two seats would be a challenge for Congress.
He further pointed out that internal conflicts within the party are worsening the situation. Remarks made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reportedly caused significant damage, and the gap between ministers and the CM has widened. Lack of coordination in the cabinet has led to dissatisfaction among MLAs and even the Deputy CM. While demands for leadership change are rising within the state unit, differences are also visible at the central leadership level. MLAs are reportedly facing difficulties in meeting the CM, leading to uncertainty among party cadre about the future.
