Journalist K. Venkatarami Reddy (KVR) from Telangana was produced before the Bobbili court in Vizianagaram district by Badangi police. He was arrested in connection with alleged objectionable remarks, and the court remanded him until the 14th of this month. Following the court order, KVR was shifted to Bobbili jail. The incident has sparked widespread attention.
The arrest was made based on a complaint filed by former Badangi sarpanch Kandi Ramesh. KVR was taken into custody from Saroornagar in Hyderabad on Tuesday night. He is accused of making inappropriate and abusive comments against the Indian Constitution, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Lokesh. Despite receiving notices to attend the inquiry, he failed to appear, prompting police to arrest him at his residence. He was later medically examined and produced before the court.
