Akhil Akkineni, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Lenin,” has opened up about a painful phase in his life. During the film’s promotional interviews, the actor revealed that he met with a serious accident three months after the release of “Agent” in 2023. Akhil said he slipped on the wet floor of his bathroom at home and unfortunately landed on a broken piece of glass, resulting in a severe injury.
The actor revealed that the injury was so serious that he had to undergo two surgeries and received 48 stitches. He also shared that it took nearly 16 months to recover completely and return to normal life. Akhil admitted that while the failure of “Agent” was emotionally disappointing, the accident affected him physically and forced him to stay away from films and shootings for a long time. He is now preparing for a fresh comeback with “Lenin,” scheduled to release on July 10.
