AP Government Brings Good News for PSU Employees

AP Government Brings Good News for PSU Employees

The Andhra Pradesh government has increased the retirement age of employees working in PSUs, corporations, and societies from 60 years to 62 years. A Government Order (GO) was issued following the Cabinet's earlier approval. The decision will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2022.

Eligible employees who retired at the age of 60 may be reinstated, but no salary will be paid for the gap period until they rejoin. The government clarified that the gap period will not be considered for seniority or promotions. Employees who have already worked up to 62 years under court orders will receive full service benefits, while those unwilling to rejoin will continue under the earlier retirement rules.
