Chandrababu Warns Officials Over File Delays, Demands Swift Action

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has warned officials against delaying files and skipping official meetings, directing Chief Secretary Sai Prasad to seek explanations from HoDs who remained absent from the two-day collectors’ conference. During the second day of the meeting, IT Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar said file clearance had improved compared with the previous review, with most ministers and secretaries disposing of files within an average of two days. Naidu, however, expressed displeasure over delays among some HoDs and directed officials to speed up clearances. He stressed that files should not remain pending and said offline file processing must be eliminated, with training to be provided where necessary. The Chief Minister also advised ministers and officials to arrive at collectors’ meetings fully prepared and warned that repeated negligence would invite strict action.

Naidu also reviewed revenue, urban development, education and skill development issues. He directed officials to preserve land records on blockchain by November 1, complete the land resurvey within 45 days and integrate updated records with the Real-Time Governance system. He called for corruption-free resolution of long-pending land disputes and immediate action against officials involved in illegal collections. Naidu praised collectors for adopting innovative practices and asked other districts to replicate successful models. He also directed authorities to improve living standards in every city, including sanitation, clean air and infrastructure. Highlighting industrial investments, he stressed that local youth should benefit from new employment opportunities and instructed officials to align ITIs with industries and provide job-oriented skills so that young people from the state are prepared for emerging jobs.
