Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with senior leaders and workers of the ruling alliance in Amaravati, focusing on the upcoming ZPTC and MPTC elections. Minister Nadendla Manohar, TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao and BJP state president PVN Madhav participated in the meeting. Chandrababu congratulated alliance leaders and workers for their efforts in the recent urban local body elections. He stated that the alliance had achieved a 94 per cent strike rate in municipalities and corporations. According to the Chief Minister, the results reflected public recognition of the government's welfare initiatives, development programmes and governance over the past two-and-a-half years. He said the government was continuing welfare programmes despite financial challenges while also undertaking development activities. He also highlighted recruitment through DSC and the job calendar, adding that the government's engagement with people and its efforts to address public concerns had contributed to the electoral performance.
Chandrababu urged alliance leaders to work with greater coordination and unity to win all Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad positions in the upcoming ZPTC and MPTC elections. He stressed that candidates from every alliance partner should be treated as common candidates and that all parties must uphold coalition principles. He assured leaders who could not secure seats in the local body elections that they would be given opportunities through nominated posts. However, he warned that those who violated alliance commitments would not be tolerated. The Chief Minister said political coordination and good governance were equally important for the coalition. He also criticised the YSRCP, alleging that the opposition was making accusations against the government out of fear of electoral defeat. He called on alliance leaders and workers to maintain restraint, avoid internal differences and strengthen unity ahead of the upcoming elections.
