The damage to a railway track in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district has raised suspicions of a possible terror angle. Investigating agencies are examining whether the incident was part of a larger conspiracy, with suspected links to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, coming under scrutiny.
An NIA team is expected to visit the spot as part of the investigation. Officials are also looking into the possible connection between the incident and the network of terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. The movements of Pakistan-based handlers are reportedly being monitored. However, the suspected terror links are yet to be established, and further investigation is expected to reveal the facts.
