Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, recently made strong comments against the Bharatiya Janata Party after several Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MPs reportedly joined the BJP in April 2026. In a viral video, Mann challenged the BJP and central agencies to try and influence him. He boldly said that no currency has been created that can buy him.
Mann criticised the leaders who left the party, calling them traitors who betrayed the trust of Punjab for personal benefits. Reports suggest that prominent leaders like Raghav Chadha were among those who defected. He also accused the BJP of using tactics to weaken his government, claiming that they lack strong support in Punjab.
He further alleged that agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation are used to pressure political opponents when elections cannot be won. Mann also recalled a past incident from 2021, where he claimed that he was offered money and a cabinet position to switch sides. His strong statements have now become a major talking point in political circles.
