Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao returns with another experimental entertainer, 'Sing Geetham', produced by Nag Ashwin under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Starring Ayaan, Ahalya, and Shalini in the lead roles, the film released in theatres on June 11 and received widespread appreciation for its unique concept and refreshing storytelling. The fantasy musical is now reportedly set to make its OTT debut on Netflix from July 9, with an official announcement expected soon. The film also features special appearances by Vijay Deverakonda, KV Anudeep, Rahul Ravindran, and Nivetha Pethuraj, while Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.
Set in the once-lush village of Kuberapuram, the story follows Pratap, who arrives to claim his ancestral land only to discover it is rich in gold reserves. As greed consumes the villagers, they cut down the last surviving tree, revered by Gauri as her mother's presence. The act triggers a mysterious curse, leaving everyone unable to speak and forcing them to communicate only through songs. Whether the villagers can break the curse and how human greed transforms their lives forms the emotional and magical core of this imaginative musical fantasy.
