Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited fantasy film Vishwambhara continues to generate interest, particularly over its theatrical release date. Directed by Vassishta, the film is reportedly undergoing extensive VFX and computer-generated visual effects work. Meanwhile, discussions over its OTT rights are said to be progressing, with SonyLIV reportedly emerging as a frontrunner. Industry sources suggest that the digital agreement is nearing completion and an announcement regarding the theatrical release could follow once the deal is finalised.
Vishwambhara stars Trisha and Ashika Ranganath as the female leads alongside Chiranjeevi. The film was originally expected to arrive during the Sankranti season but was postponed for various reasons, with the extensive CGI work reportedly contributing to the delay. Music for the project is being composed by MM Keeravani and Gaurahari, while UV Creations is producing the film on a large scale. With the VFX work and other post-production activities progressing, audiences are eagerly awaiting an official update on the release date.
