As the weekend arrives, many people have traveled to their hometowns due to the combined holidays of Ugadi and Ramzan. Meanwhile, new movies like Dhurandhar 2 and Ustaad Bhagat Singh have released in theatres. Dhurandhar 2 is receiving very positive response, while Ustaad Bhagat Singh is getting mostly negative feedback. On OTT platforms, there are only a few notable Telugu releases this week, including Seetha Payanam and Border 2.
Adding to this, a Telugu horror mystery thriller Aahwanam to Amaravati is ready for streaming. The film features Supreetha, daughter of actress Surekha Vani, in a lead role along with Shiva Kanthamneni, Esther and Dhanya Balakrishna. Though the movie has decent horror elements, some scenes feel predictable, which is considered a drawback. The film was released in theatres last month on the 13th and will start streaming on the Aha OTT platform from Friday, March 20.
The story follows Eshwar, a suspended CI and his wife Bhanumathi. Her sister Bhargavi, played by Supreetha, is a YouTuber who creates videos about ghosts. After one of her videos shot in a haunted building goes viral, she becomes popular. Soon, she receives a mysterious call claiming that real ghosts can be shown live. Hoping for more fame, Bhargavi travels with her family to a village called Amaravati. What happens there and the experiences they face form the rest of the story.
