A devastating business jet crash occurred in Palm Beach County, Florida, near US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. The aircraft, carrying nine people, reportedly crashed onto a road at high speed, bursting into a massive fireball shortly after impact. The force of the crash left a large crater on the road. According to reports, everyone on board lost their lives. The accident took place around 14 kilometres from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, drawing widespread attention. However, the aircraft came down away from residential areas and other vehicles, potentially preventing further casualties.
The business jet had departed from the Austin area of Texas on Sunday, according to US local time, and was heading to the Bahamas. Before the crash, the flight crew reportedly contacted air traffic control, expressing concern that the aircraft was rapidly losing altitude and was difficult to control. Audio of the crew’s final communication has also emerged. In the recording, a crew member can reportedly be heard saying, “We don’t have time.” The crew issued a Mayday distress call, warning that the aircraft was losing altitude rapidly and travelling at excessive speed. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations to determine the cause of the crash. Videos of the incident have also gone viral on social media.
