

State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has appealed to RTC employees to withdraw their strike decision, keeping public interest in mind. He said the government is always ready to resolve employees issues through peaceful discussions. The minister assured that protecting the RTC organization and ensuring public convenience are top priorities.
He clarified that matters related to RTC merger and workers unions are under the government’s scope and a committee is already working on the merger process. Apart from these issues, the government is open to discussing all other concerns raised by employees. He also mentioned that the doors of the government are always open for workers to come forward and share their problems.
The minister further stated that a 2.1 percent DA has recently been implemented for RTC employees and there are currently no pending dues. He added that the government is also considering the PRC issue and remains committed to the welfare of employees.
