

A disturbing incident of vandalism was reported at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple premises in Cary, North Carolina. Miscreants damaged one of the Dwarapalaka statues located outside the temple complex. Members of the temple’s managing board stated that a police complaint was lodged immediately after the incident.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter. Temple authorities said they are fully cooperating with law enforcement officials to help identify those responsible. Available CCTV footage is currently being reviewed as part of the investigation, according to an official statement released by the temple management.
The incident has caused deep emotional distress to the devotees and management. However, the board clarified that the sanctity and spiritual purity of the temple remain completely intact. Arrangements are being made on a priority basis to restore the damaged idol. Devotees have been urged to remain calm, united, and respectful.
The temple committee requested anyone with relevant information to contact the temple office. They also appealed to the public to avoid posting speculative or emotionally charged messages on social media. Special prayers will be conducted at the Lord Venkateswara shrine on Saturday evening at 7 PM.
