India’s star badminton duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty produced a remarkable comeback to win the Singapore Open 2026 BWF World Tour Super 750 men’s doubles title on Sunday. The fourth-seeded Indian pair defeated Indonesia’s third-seeded combination of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Fikri 18-21, 21-17, 21-16 in a thrilling final that lasted one hour and 13 minutes. With this victory, Satwik and Chirag became the first Indian men’s doubles pair to win the prestigious Singapore Open title.
After dropping the opening game, the Indian duo responded with aggressive attacking play to dominate the next two games and secure their third Super 750 title. The triumph marks their first BWF World Tour title since the Thailand Open 2024 and further highlights their excellent form this season. Having already reached the Thailand Open final and played a key role in India’s bronze-medal finish at the Thomas and Uber Cup, Satwik and Chirag continued their impressive run by lifting another major international trophy.
