Two Indian nationals were arrested in the United States for alleged cocaine trafficking. Gurpreet Singh (30) and Jasveer Singh were taken into custody by the US Homeland Security team in Putnam County, Indiana, while transporting drugs in a semi-truck.
Officials seized 309 pounds of cocaine hidden inside the sleeper berth of the truck. The drugs were reportedly concealed in a sophisticated manner, indicating a well-planned smuggling operation.
Police stated that the seized cocaine could have potentially endangered the lives of around 113,000 Americans. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
