Transport Minister conducts surprise checks…

Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy conducted surprise inspections on private buses at Khaja Toll Plaza as part of road safety measures. During the checks, more than 20 buses were examined along with transport officials. One bus was seized for not having proper documents and safety compliance, while fines were imposed on 15 buses for violating rules.

Officials thoroughly inspected vehicle fitness, safety standards, driver licences, speed regulations, and staff conduct. Special attention was also given to passenger facilities, ticketing systems, seating arrangements, and emergency safety equipment. The government stated that such inspections aim to reduce road accidents and ensure safe and comfortable travel for passengers.
