M. K. Stalin has raised serious concerns over the proposed Delimitation, stating that it would significantly harm the rights of people in southern states. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government is attempting to favor northern states through this move. He asserted that his party would strongly oppose the process and even warned of extreme steps as part of the protest.
Taking to the social media platform X, Stalin questioned the urgency behind convening Parliament amid ongoing assembly elections in five states. He also criticized the rejection of the opposition leaders’ demand to hold a special session after the 29th of the month. Stalin asked what the real intent behind ignoring such a reasonable request was, further intensifying the political debate surrounding delimitation.
