BRS chief KCR paid rich tributes to Doddi Komarayya on his birth anniversary. Komarayya is remembered as the first martyr of the Telangana armed farmers’ struggle. KCR said that his sacrifice became a strong symbol of people’s resistance against unjust rule and continues to inspire movements against anti-people governance.
He also stated that the success of the Telangana movement and the formation of the state were possible because of the sacrifices made by such martyrs. Over the years, Telangana has progressed by overcoming many challenges and their inspiration played a key role in building self-governance as an example for the country.
KCR further added that true tribute to martyrs like Doddi Komarayya would be ensuring dignity, equality and rights for all sections of society. Governments must recognize the struggles of people and provide constitutional rights, which would honor the sacrifices of those who fought for justice.
