A tragic road accident occurred early Thursday morning near Chilakaladona in Mantralayam mandal of Kurnool district. The incident took place when a Bolero vehicle collided with a tanker. According to reports, a total of 16 people were traveling in the vehicle, heading to Mantralayam for the darshan of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
In the accident, 8 people lost their lives on the spot, while 12 others sustained serious injuries. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the Emmiganur Government Hospital and further procedures are being carried out.
