Telangana state government has taken an important decision to promote legal awareness among school students. It has decided to educate students across all schools about their rights, responsibilities, and constitutional values. In this regard, the Telangana Legal Services Authority and the School Education Department signed a memorandum of understanding.
Under the agreement, students and teachers in government, ZP, gurukul, and model schools will receive legal education. Special sessions will be conducted on child rights, child marriage, child labour laws, fundamental rights, and responsibilities. Each school will appoint a teacher as a child protection officer and establish legal literacy and child rights clubs. The program will be implemented from the next academic year.
