Police have issued a strong warning about cybercriminals who are targeting people by impersonating officials from the Reserve Bank of India and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Fraudsters are reportedly making calls to deceive citizens and carry out financial scams.
Authorities have advised the public to be extremely cautious of calls originating from numbers starting with +97 and +85, as these are being used for fraudulent activities. Officials have clearly stated that such calls should not be answered, and users are urged to avoid engaging with unknown international numbers to prevent cyber fraud.
