The story of Kannada star Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has reportedly been leaked. Yash himself has clarified that the film is not a routine gangster drama, but an emotional father-son revenge saga with deep emotional layers. Although India gained independence in 1947, Goa remained under Portuguese rule until 1961. The film is set against that backdrop, blending the politics, smuggling networks, and power struggles of the era. Spanning three decades, this fictional story is said to explore how a gangster empire was built and eventually destroyed.
Alongside Yash, the film features leading actresses including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. A 9-minute preview screened at CinemaCon reportedly impressed international delegates. The makers are aiming for a global release with Hollywood-level scale and production values. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and is expected to release soon. Industry sources say the mix of colonial-era Goa, crime culture, politics and emotional drama will make the film stand out. Yash is also expected to appear in a dual role. Following the story leak, fan anticipation for the film has increased significantly.
